Design a third-party desktop web site or desktop app (not Netflix-branded) where the community can celebrate shared stories together through communal and authentic experiences.
Sophlix is a video streaming platform which primarily focuses on its educative and memory-saving features. In order to help the users better utilize the platform and share their authentic experience, we highlight three functions. The first function is saving your favorite plots and lines by just one click. Sophlix will organize your favorite plots/ lines to a list under each video. Users can edit the lists by reordering or adding notes. The users can also share their notes to other users or to the public. This function is especially beneficial to educative videos by enhancing users’ learning efficiency and saving their time. The user can simply mark the essence of each video and review those parts easily without going back to each video every time. The ordinary users can user this function to save their favorite lines in the movies.
The second function is setting up an event which is designed for group watching. An user can set up an event in a group. Users in the group can vote on date and what video they are going to watch. The event will show up on the calendar as a reminder. The third function is creating a surprise by sending a message in a video to your family and friend. The user can leave a word or video message to a target user and add some customized design to the message. Sophlix will insert the message in the middle of or at the end of the video which the target user is going to watch next. It is a heart-warming feature when a mother wants to give her encouragement to his hard-working son, or when a user wants to say sorry to her best friend she just had fight with, or when you want to say Marry Christmas to your family who are thousand miles away from you.
